Creative Searching Techniques

Creative searching:
When you are looking to buy a specific product, try a different search...... Search for the "Selling Leads" that exist from the suppliers of your product.
This will give you a better idea of what the most popular models/ items are presently, which country most of them are coming from, and you can glean valuable information regarding the supplier from their "Selling Lead". Often there are pictures, terms and conditions of supply, and even a basic idea of the ex-works price you could be looking at.
Why not let the supplier rather do a nice, healthy portion of your searching "donkey work" for you? ;-)
And here is our smile for today below......... THIS is creative searching in practice!

It's all in the keywords

Today's quickie is about the searches you will make either looking for a product or offering one.

Remember that at the end of those typed in words is still a human, not a computer. So, your best bet would be to stop and ponder like this for a few extra seconds.
If you are offering a product, try to imagine that you are the buyer looking for the very product you are offering. What descriptive words would you use to make that search. Those are the keywords to place alongside your product!
And vice versa, if you are searching for that something specific, try to think of what terminology a manufacturer might be using for that item. Now try those keywords.... with greater success no doubt!
And today's laugh below...... isn't it ALL about the name eh? Here's what I got when I typed in "Seahorse" :-P

Going green and global warming

Think you're a conscious consumer?

The last few years has provided much talk (and unfortunately too little global action) regarding the impact of the human species' carbon footprint, and what the future might look like for our descendants.

If you believe that you ARE connected to and do closely interact with your environment, then your conscience should help you choose and inspire others to choose products that are less wasteful and or less toxic than mainstream products. We really should all (each person, each household, each company, each government) try to purchase for family and business eco-friendly products that are non-toxic and guaranteed to be safe for children, home, and environment. Try typing in eco-friendly terms when you source items and products to buy.

By
making decisions to save energy through using green appliances and products, going vegan and organic, or just living a low-impact lifestyle every day, we could individually (and thereby globally) help lower our environmental impact and reduce your carbon footprint..... for the sake of our children's children's children!

And just to keep the FUN in even the most somber kinds of discussions...... here's a pic to help convince even th
e most staunch critic of global warming.

UFO delight

And somewhere out there amongst the millions of bland products that get spat out daily from the world's conglomeration of factories shines a little beauty......

THIS is not only a regular USB Flash Drive item, but also a Voice Recorder with a one touch stop and start function to record anything you like, and then play it back later on the computer.
Now... I'm not going to reveal quite yet the industry for which we have sourced this cutie, but I can assure you that Private Investigators aren't the only ones who utilise this kind of handy item ;-)

Gotta get their attention first

Since most of these posts are dealing with the LIGHTER side of business and product sourcing, let's kick off with an old classic: Getting your customer's attention first!

Isn't it funny how certain things are way more successful at getting most people's attention?

Take a look at this for example......
I am a farmer and I have one small yellow chicken and the last of my batch of cute kittens left to sell. What is the best way to get people to stop for a second and take a look at my advert?

Did it work on you? ;-P
